Extending Victory
For 16 months I've been in maintenance and for the last 15 I've been on one shot every 30 days. I have decided to extend out further to see if five weeks was doable and I found out pleasantly that it is.
During the past five weeks I've had as much food noise in my head as I did during week two, which is none. I have two boxes of medicine left and based on this, I'm moving more towards the point that, for me, the medicine has accomplished all that I need and the next step after the last box is to see if I can maintain without the shots at all.
I used to think after 3 weeks I'd fall back, then after 4 weeks I'd probably have some unexplained and unexpected weight gain that meant i needed to go back to shots times closer together, but it's been the exact opposite as I have seen nothing but easy maintaining of my weight range. I'm going to stick to five weeks because I'm a little hesitant to go further as the side effects could come back hard, but again maybe they won't, but five weeks seems like a good spot for me. Next month I'll be getting my physical and if my lab work shows successful numbers at this spacing, then I think that will be the indicator that my time is coming to and end.
